DYHA Welcomes New Director of Hockey Operations

Dover Youth Hockey Association is excited to announce that we have hired Mike Young as our Director of Hockey Operations for the 2016-2017 season, and beyond.  Mike will take over all DYHA Director of Hockey Operations responsibilities immediately, including oversight of both the Granite State Wild and the Dover Stars.

Mike Young is a long time Dover resident, with strong ties to the local hockey community.  In addition to many years as a Dover Arena employee, Mike played youth hockey for DYHA, high school hockey at Dover High School, and is currently an assistant coach for the Dover High School boys hockey team.  Mike also has an abundance of experience running hockey leagues, teams, and tournaments in the seacoast.  He is well known and respected throughout the community, both at and away from the ice arena.  He brings enthusiasm, pride, and a strong work ethic to the position, in addition to a large network of personal and professional connections.  Everyone who knows Mike would agree that his love and enthusiasm for the game of hockey is contagious, making him a perfect fit for the future of DYHA.

Our long standing DYHA Director of Hockey Operations, Dennis Pease, will be retiring.  We would like to send a special thank you to Dennis, who has been with DYHA for many years and will be greatly missed by the entire organization.  His roles over the years have included parent, board member, President, Director of Hockey Operations, and many more.  Dennis’ individual contributions to DYHA are too many to be listed and he has left a lasting impression on all that have been involved with DYHA over his tenure.  Without which, we would not be half the organization that we are today.  Thank you Dennis and good luck with your retirement from DYHA!

We would also like to thank Stacey MacKinnon for her years of service to the organization, in her various roles related to the Director of Hockey Operations.  We wish her luck in all of her future endeavors.

Please look for Mike around the rink and introduce yourself if you do not already know him.  We all look forward to a bright future of fun, growth, and success at DYHA.

Thank you,

DYHA Board of Directors
