Program Coordinator Wanted

Dover Youth Hockey Association is seeking a Program Coordinator who will support the Director of Hockey Operations and Board of Directors through a variety of administrative tasks and event management functions.

Administrative tasks will include:

  • website & social media management (using a basic web management tool)
  • communication via email and phone with members of the organization, coaches, vendors, governing bodies and other hockey organizations
  • design of marketing and collateral (ie, annual program guide, event flyers, etc)
  • collection and management of player and coaching documents
  • management of weekly bank deposits and payroll distribution
  • organization and maintenance of all DYHA office
  • management of uniforms
  • other administrative tasks as requested by the Director of Hockey Operations or Board of Directors

The Program Coordinator will also help to facilitate several events during the course of the year, assisting in planning and preparation, as well as attending the event to provide support.  These events will include: 

  • Travel team and House League tryouts
  • Fundraising events (golf outing, annual dance)
  • Don Heyliger Tournament
  • “Learn to Play Hockey” Day
  • Team Picture Day

The Program Coordinator will also be expected to attend DYHA Board meetings.  Meeting are are held twice per month, typically on Monday nights.

This is a part-time position, paid hourly.  The position will require an average of approximately 30-40 hours per month during the season (August-March) and 10-15 hours per month in the “off-season” (April-July).  Hours will vary month-to-month.  The majority of this work can be done by the Program Coordinator “remotely” (ie, from home) using their own laptop or desktop computer.
