The tournament started on Friday morning with a 3-1 Wild victory over the Nepean (Ontario) Raiders.  This was followed up by a decisive 7-0 win over the Voorhees NJ Flyers on Friday afternoon. Saturday, in the midst of a 13-inch snow storm, the Wild Peewee Majors earned a hard fought 5-2 win against a tough Greater New Haven Warriors team from New Haven, CT- a team they would face again in the Gold Medal Game.

The two teams played a scoreless second period with action going back and forth, but neither team surrendering any goals.  The first goal of the 3rd period was netted by the Wild, as Charlotte Wensley scored 5:16 into the period to go up 2-1.  The Warriors responded with a goal at 9:10 to lock the game again at 2-2, but a goal by Nathan Gagnon just 31 seconds later put the Wild back on top for good.  Jonathan Pelletier iced the victory for the Wild with his second goal coming with just 36 seconds left in the game, giving the Wild Peewee Majors a 4-2 win and the Can-Am Hockey Challange Cup Peewee Division Championship title.
