Director of Hockey Operations – Dover Youth Hockey Association

DYHA Mission Statement:

We assist all players in reaching their athletic potential by emphasizing skill development, commitment, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

Job Responsibilities:

The Director of Hockey Operations will work closely with the Board of Directors to execute our hockey programs and player development strategy to provide the best hockey experience for the DYHA players and families. 

  • Scheduling – games, practices, and tournaments for all teams, in addition to coordinating with our Skills providers on their availability for practice times.
  • League Rep – representative for GSW in both the Granite State League and Premier Hockey League. Inclusive of all administrative duties needed for rosters, score sheets, game reporting, and disciplinary issues.
  • Registrar – USA Hockey registration for team rosters and player releases
  • SafeSport Coordinator – NHAHA representative and organization coordinator
  • Board Committees – collaborate with various Board member committees such as Program, Budget, and Tryouts to ensure effective execution.

Strong interpersonal skills including electronic communication skills are vital in this position in corresponding with the Board of Directors, Coaches, and League Officials. In addition, it is expected the Director of Hockey Operations will be present semi-weekly at the arena during the season on either Tuesday or Thursday (6:00-8:00 p.m.) and either Saturday or Sunday (hours vary based on team schedules).

Compensation for this position is commensurate with experience and estimated to be between $25,000 to $35,000 per year.
