Dover Youth Hockey Association will hold our Annual Meeting on Tuesday, May 14th at 6:30. The meeting will be held in the main conference room at the Dover Ice Arena.
All members are strongly encouraged to attend. During the meeting, the current DYHA Board of Directors will provide an overview of the organization's activities during the 2018-19 season and will review both the current financial standing of the organization and the annual budget for the 2019-20 fiscal year. New Board members will also be elected during the meeting.
At the Annual Meeting, DYHA will seek to fill two Board seats that will be vacated by members whose terms on the Board will be completed at that time. Any individuals interested in volunteering for the Board are asked to attend the Annual Meeting to participate in the nomination and election process. Following the open meeting, a second meeting of the newly elected Board will held where an Executive Board will be chosen.
More details about the organization, the roles & responsibilities of Board members and the process of electing Board members can be found in the DYHA Bylaws and Program Guide. Members who are interested should also plan to attend a Board of Directors meeting prior to the Annual Meeting to get a better understanding of what is expected and required as a member of the DYHA Board of Directors. Meetings are held on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month in the conference room of the Dover Ice Arena. Any changes to the schedule or location of these meetings is posted to the Board Meeting Minutes page of the DYHA website.
