Operations Coordinator

Dover Youth Hockey Association (DYHA) is looking for an operations coordinator to join its team.

Position Summary

The Operations Coordinator will report directly to the Director of Hockey Operations and be tasked with leading operations activity in order to provide a first class experience for all DYHA members.

Primary Job Responsibilities 

  • Responsible for all website activity

    • Registration and contract form set up

    • All news postings and DYHA update activity (including social media posts)

  • Responsible for all reach out to members for any AR related issues. Resolution to matters is expected, but any major issues should be elevated to the Director of Hockey operations who will elevate to the treasurer and Board for final resolution.

  • Administrative support for all major events (Start of season, Golf Tournament, Tryouts, Heyliger Tournament).

  • Responsible for organizing and distributing all apparel orders

Time Commitment & Compensation

This is not a full time role, as it will fluctuate during the season. There will be a heavier lift at the beginning of season with making sure all player tuitions are paid or set up on auto payment and handling communication with non-payment communication and resolution. For payment, the individual will be working closely with our bookkeeper and Director of Hockey Operations.  

Website, social media and email postings will vary throughout the season. We are looking for this individual take pride and ownership on the look and feel. With that said, there will be a heavier lift on initial cleanup of the site, but then moving into more of a maintenance mode once cleaned up.

DYHA is a non-profit organization and rely on volunteers across the organization. This important position requires a unique skill set. The BOARD is looking for a strong candidate with skills and experience that meet the goals of the position and may consider breaking the position into two depending on the candidate pool. For candidates meeting the required skills and experience, the board will consider volunteer, player tuition credits or stipend as compensation.
