DYHA Annual Meeting Date & Call for Board Members

Dover Youth Hockey Association will hold our Annual Meeting on Monday, May 21st at 6:30.  The meeting will be held in the main conference room at the Dover Ice Arena.  All current members of Dover Youth Hockey Association are invited and encouraged to attend. 

(note: the meeting is open only to current DYHA members, which are defined by DYHA by-laws as the parent or legal guardian of a player who participated on a DYHA travel or house team during the 2017-18 season or is a member of a 2018-19 roster.  The meeting is closed to non-members.)

During the meeting the current Board of Directors will provide several reports including a review of financials and the 2018-19 budget, as well as an overview of the past season and plans for the upcoming season for our organization. 

DYHA will also hold elections to fill 3 seats on the Board of Directors that will become vacant.  At that time our current Treasurer and Secretary will be completing their terms of service to the organization. We will also be looking to fill an open seat that was vacated earlier this year.  All members present at the meeting will have the opportunity to vote in this election.

As a non-profit, volunteer run organization it is vital to the health and success of our organization that all 7 Board seats be filled. We encourage all members to strongly consider getting involved to help.  More information about Board member qualifications and duties is available in the DYHA by-laws, which are found on the Board Meeting Minutes page of our website.  Interested members are also encouraged to attend an upcoming Board meeting.  Meetings are typically held on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month at the Dover Ice Arena.  The official date, time and location of each upcoming Board meeting is posted to the Board Meeting Minutes page.

The Board of Directors is comprised of 7 current members of the organization who volunteer their time to represent the interests of our players and their families, providing operational and financial guidance and setting our future direction.  The Board’s role is critical to sustaining and growing DYHA, so we encourage all members who are interested in helping in this capacity to contact the current President (Jeremy Forest) at, especially those with experience in business and finance.  A hockey background is not a requirement!
