DYHA Partners with Premier Hockey for Skills Development

Premier Hockey Selected as New Skills Provider

Dover Youth Hockey Association is pleased to announce a new partnership with Premier Hockey to provide player skill development programs beginning in September 2017.

The DYHA Board of Directors selected Premier Hockey after reviewing proposals from several professional skills development organizations in the region.  The close alignment between Premier’s training philosophies and DYHA’s player development approach, the extensive playing and coaching experience of their staff and the strong support for Premier voiced by many DYHA coaches and families all contributed to the decision to move ahead with the partnership between the two organizations.

Premier Hockey was founded in 2004 and is owned and operated by Todd Spencer.  Spencer played his high school hockey at Exeter High School before moving on to Sacred Heart to play D1 hockey.  He also spent several years playing professionally in the ECHL and IHL.  Spencer is also a USA Hockey Master Level 5 Certified Coach whose experience includes several years as a skill instructor for the Manchester Jr Monarchs, Seacoast Spartans and Berwick Academy.  He is joined on the ice by a large staff of instructors— all with extensive playing and coaching backgrounds.

In addition to managing skill development programs, Premier Hockey conducts numerous clinics and camps throughout the year at the Dover Arena and several other arenas throughout New Hampshire and northern Massachusetts.  More information can be found at their website: www.premierhockey.com.

On behalf of all DYHA players and families, the Board of Directors would like to welcome Todd and his staff to the Dover Youth Hockey Association.  We look forward to a long partnership with Premier Hockey and the many benefits they will provide for our young players in the coming seasons.

We would also thank Ray Terrell, Zach Cobb and Chris Hitchcock for the excellent work they did this year providing skill development programming for the organization.
